Lanko 124, acrylic, multi-purpose undercoat technologically developed to be used for Parexgroup mortar systems or under K10 Waterproofing materials to be applied to cellular surfaces

The Name of the Product                 : LANKO 124

Product Code      : . . . . - . . . .

Description           : Lanko 124, acrylic, multi-purpose undercoat technologically developed to be used for Parexgroup mortar systems or under K10 Waterproofing materials to be applied to cellular surfaces.

Packaging Type   : 5 L, 20 L.

Color                    : Transparent blue.

Standard              : Product standard.

Areas of Use        : Lanko 124 can be used as a wall and ground undercoat for internal and external applications. Lanko 124 can be used on wood and concrete surfaces and on the most cellular lower layers of buildings before any GeserParex ground repair, insulation and repair applications.

Characteristics              : Lanko 124 increases porosity of substrates by forming a surface that prevents the drying of GeserParex mortar systems and K10 Waterproofing materials. Application of Lanko 124 before GaserParax floor finish minimizes pin holing. Lanko 124 increases surface adherence of GeserParex mortar systems and K10 Waterproofing Materials. In order to be visible, Lanko 124 is blue colored. High adherence and extreme coating power. Due to the natural sealants in its composition, it ensures perfect adherence between the surface it is applied to and the coating. It hardens the application surface and prevents dirt and stains on the surface to affect the coating. Environment-friendly and odorless.

APPLICATION            :

1-Surface Preparation  :

The surfaces onto which this product will be applied to should be dry, structurally damage-free and shall be clean and clear of dust, dirt, polish, grease, form-releasing agents, asphalt, mastic, latex components, adhesives, paint, gypsum-based products and any other contaminants. All coarse concrete surfaces should be completely cured and dry (with maximum humidity content between 5.5% to 7.0%). Coarse concrete surfaces should be clear of wood shavings, loose or set concrete, curing or form-releasing agents and other contaminants and should be smoothened with wood.

Non-porous surfaces such as concrete should be troweled or flattened by a steel trowel and such surfaces may be cauterized with acid or mechanically etched.

Substrates that are contaminated should be abraded to obtain a clean, level surface.

Plastered surfaces should be left to cure for at least 7 days.

Old concrete and plastered surfaces should be thoroughly cleaned before applying Lanko 124.

2-Application Method             :

Only porous and cellular surfaces should be undercoated with Lanko 124. Use Lanko 124 product directly from its package – do not dilute.

In order to prevent the undercoat from drying too fast under hot and windy weather conditions (for temperatures over 30°C), dampen the concrete panels with water. While wetting the surface, do not let ponding to occur. Before applying the undercoat to substrates, the lower layer should be matt without any shiny parts due to water.

In order to prevent the undercoat from drying too fast, extremely porous concrete panels should be moistened with water according to the instructions for hot and windy weather conditions.

Calculate the required amount of undercoat for the area to be covered. Apply the calculated amount of undercoat Lanko 124 uniformly to the substrate with the help of broom, brush, roller or squeegee. Homogeneous undercoat shall be achieved with this method. Wait for the undercoat to dry.

After applying Lanko 124, coat the surface within 24 hours. Otherwise, you will face the risk of dust formation and contamination. If the undercoated surface is left without coating for longer than 6 hours, wash the surface with clean surface and re-undercoat in order to prevent dirt and dust formation.

Storage Life         :

The expiry date is 1 year provided that it is stored in sealed (unopened) original package in 5-35°C dry environments not directly exposed to sunlight. It should be protected against high temperatures and frost.

Important Warnings               :

Do not allow the product to freeze.

The ambient temperature should be between 5-35 °C during the application.

The product should be used on non-porous surfaces such as trowelled concrete or concrete flattened with the help of a steel trowel.

Do not use under hot and windy weather conditions or on extremely porous surfaces, without dampening the plate beforehand.

Do not empty the undercoat into sewerages and water canals.

Tightly close the packaging after partial use.

Hazard Warnings          :

R 22       : Harmful if swallowed.

Safety Warnings           :
