The Name of the Product : K11 MATRYX
Product Group : Crystalized Waterproofing Material
Description : Cement-based, reinforced waterproofing material with active chemical additives
and which protects concrete structures with its crystalizing effect and ensures water
impermeability.
Packaging Type : In 25 kg craft bags
Color : Gray
Standard : TS EN 1504-2:2008
Areas of Use : On walls and floors,
Water tanks, cisterns, reservoirs and drains,
Wet areas such as toilets, baths and swimming pools,
Over ground and underground sewerage systems,
Internal walls of foundations and basements.
Areas of Use : In internal and external applications of basements,
For protection of ground concrete against negative dampness and water leakages,
For protection of concrete members against the effects of corrosive and harmful
salts carried by ground waters,
For insulation of foundations, wet surfaces, tunnels, underground car parks and roof
gardens,
For applications under the tiling on wet areas such as kitchens, balconies and toilets.
Characteristics/Advantages:
Unary, easy and quick application.
When in reaction with water, it produces non-soluble crystals.
Can be applied positively for waterproofing concrete members.
Increases abrasion resistance and impact strength of concrete.
It prevents ground waters at basement levels to rise.
Non-flammable.

- These figures are provided for temperatures between +23±2 ºC and for 50±5% relative humidity.
Surface Preparation :
The surfaces shall be clear of substances that may prevent adherence such as surface molding grease, dust, dirt, paint, detergent, etc. If the surface is too soft or contaminated, it should be pre-treated and decontaminated by sand blasting or washing with acid before starting the procedure. All concrete surfaces should be smooth and all cracks wider than 0,4 mm and gaps with depth up to 40 mm and with width up to 25 mm shall be repaired by Parexgeser repair mortars. Sharp corners and joints of structural members shall be chamfered. The application surface should be dampened and water-logged before application.
Application :
- Add K11 Matryx slowly to 7,25-7,5 kg of water poured into a clean container and slowly mix with a slow-speed mixer. Continue mixing until a homogenous and pellet-free mixture is obtained (at least 2 minutes).
- The mortar obtained shall be dampened and shall be applied onto the water-logged surface in 2 layers that are perpendicular to each other with the help of a brush or a roller. The second layer shall be applied while the first layer is still fresh but has just hardened enough to carry the 2nd layer. Don’t produce layers that are thicker than 5 mm.
Dry Shaking Method (For Negative Water Insulation)
- After fresh concrete is poured and has settled, the powder K11 Matryx shall be directly sprinkled onto the concrete from its bag with a consumption ratio of 3-3,5 kg/m². After sprinkling, the powder shall be fed to the concrete by a trowel or a helicopter trowel.
Dry Shaking Method (For Positive Water Insulation)
- The powder K11 Matryx shall be directly sprinkled onto the surface onto which concrete will be poured directly from its bag with a consumption ratio of 2 kg/m² before the concrete is poured.
- The surface shall be protected against rain and frost for 24 hours after the application.
- Once K11 Matryx coat hardens, the surface shall be wetted 3 times a day for 3 days, however, in very hot climates; this procedure should be carried for longer periods of time.
- In order to prolong the life of K11 Matryx, a protective cement finish, tile, ceramic tile, porcelain coating shall be used for areas exposed to human traffic.
Consumption : Approximately 1 kg/m² according to the application surface for layers applied with a brush
Storage Life :
The expiry date is 8 months for the powder component from the date of production provided that it is stored in sealed (unopened) original package and not subject to direct sunlight, humidity and frost and with maximum 8 times piling.
Safety Precautions/Warnings
- Use between +5 Cº and +35 Cº.
- Application shall not be carried out at temperatures below +5 Cº or onto frozen surfaces.
- No foreign substance may be added to the prepared mortar.
- The expired mortar should not be re-used by mixing with water or dry mortar.
- Do not apply under direct sunlight.
- Do not apply on surfaces subject to sunlight for prolonged periods or that are very hot or frozen.
- The surface shall be dampened and water-logged before the application.
- Wash the used tools with plenty of water after the application. The dried parts shall be cleaned with mechanical means.
- Do not breathe the dust of the product since the powder ingredient is cement based. Avoid contact with skin and eye.
- View Product Safety Data Sheet for more information about health and safety titles.
