Surface Preparation :
General
- All surfaces should be clean and shall not contain any cement foam, small moving parts, dirt, oil, dust and foreign substances.
- The surface should be chafed by a water jet or mechanical abrasion for ensuring better adherence.
- If parts of old paints and coating are still stuck firmly to the surface, the product may also be applied.
- The newly poured concrete surfaces should have completed the 28 day curing period and gutters should be inclined in order to prevent any ponding that may appear on the coating.
- It is of utmost important to provide the right slope in order to prevent ponding.
3 Layered Waterproofing System Application Surfaces
Metal Roofs
- Preparation: Wire brushing or sand blasting

- Preparation: Drying and grease removal

- Preparation: Cleaning of the peeled off parts and washing with a water jet
- Undercoating:Geserbrut Gross Concrete Undercoat
- Coating: Two layers of K10 Sovacryl

- Preparation: Washing with a water jet, Undercoating : Geseras EM2, Coating: Two layers of K10 Sovacryl

- Undercoating : Geseras EM2, Coating: 3 layers of K10 Sovacryl coating with a netting support
Application :
- 5 Layered Waterproofing System
- Apply one layer of acrylic undercoat (use Lanko 124, Geseras EM2, Geserbrut according to the type of the surface).
- After the undercoating layer dries, apply one layer of K10 Sovacryl to the surface with the help of a roller or a brush.
- Before the first layer dries, lay the fiber glass netting to the surface and pass over with the roller and ensure the netting is embedded into K10 Sovacryl.
- Leave the surface to dry for at least two hours.
- Apply the 2nd layer of K10 Sovacryl by ensuring the netting underneath is completely covered.
- Apply the last layer of K10 Sovacryl until the total reaches the recommended thickness and leave to dry overnight.
- 3 Layered Waterproofing System
- Apply the undercoat suitable for the surface and leave it to dry.
- Apply K10 Sovacryl by directly taking the material from its original bucket and apply by a roller or a brush.
- Leave to dry (for about 4 to 8 hours) before applying the second layer and leave the surface to dry overnight after the last layer is applied.
Consumption :1,2-1,5 kg/m² (for 1 mm film thickness)
Storage Life :
The expiry date 12 months from the date of production provided that it is stored in sealed (unopened) original package in a dry environment and has not been exposed to direct sunlight and frost.
Safety Precautions/Warnings:
- Use between +10 Cº and +30 Cº and at 30-80% moisture level.
- Protect against freezing.
- While working under temperatures above +30 Cº , dampen the surfaces with water before applying the first layer.
- Application should not be carried out during harsh weather conditions.
- The product is sold as ready-to-use and should not be thinned by adding water.
- Sand should not be added. If added, it may adversely affect the elasticity of the product and may cause cracks to appear.
- Do not use for surfaces that are exposed to negative water leakage.
- Wash the used tools with plenty of water after the application. The dried parts shall be cleaned with mechanical means.
- Wash with plenty of water in case of contact with skin and eyes. If it causes irritation, immediately contact a doctor.

K10 Sovacryl 5 Layered Waterproofing System:
With K10 Sovacryl 5 Layered waterproofing system with fiber glass netting, the elevation differences that may be experienced on roofs due to roughness of the surface and the same layer thickness can be obtained for the whole area.
This system is suitable for positive waterproofing of roofs that are exposed to very little human contact.

K10 Sovacryl 3 layered system is a micronized membrane. It protects outer surfaces and facades against rain sprinkles and covers concrete surfaces and protects against carbonation, acid erosion or chemical effects.
