Before the joint filler is applied, the surface should be cured with an adhesive. The surface to which the product will be applied shall be cleared off substances that may damage adherence such as dust, paint, dirt, detergents, etc. The joint gaps shall be dampened with water before the application.
Application :
- Slowly pour Joint Filler with Silicone straight out of its 20 kg bag into the mixing pot where 6,5-7 liters of water has been placed and slowly mix with a slow-speed mixer until a homogenous and pellet-free mixture is obtained. The prepared mixture shall be left to settle for 10 minutes and then mixed for another 1-2 minutes, then applied.
- The mortar shall be applied to joint gaps by hard rubber tipped mop or a pointing trowel with a rubber base. In order to completely fill the gaps, first parallel then transverse application should be carried out.
- The top layer of the mortar should be removed by a soft tipped putty knife or should be scraped off by a sponge tipped and moistened putty knife and then after being left to settle for 15-30 minutes according to the ambient temperature, the thin layer that may be left on the surface shall be cleaned with a damp sponge.
- The leveling and cleaning of the surface shall be carried out with a dry cloth while the joint is still wet.
- The application shall not be carried out on surfaces exposed to direct sunlight for prolonged periods, or that are too hot or frozen.
