Surface Preparation :
The surfaces shall be clear of substances that may prevent adherence such as surface molding grease, dust, dirt, paint, detergent, etc. All imperfections on the surface shall be repaired with Parexgroup repair plaster before the product is applied. Highly absorbent surfaces should be dampened or undercoated with Geseras EM2.
Application :
- The product is ready-to-use and therefore, should not be mixed with water.
- The adhesive mortar should be used by applying pressure to the surface and then should be chiseled with a steel-toothed trowel selected according to the thickness of material to be affixed to the surface (for 5x5 cm mosaic tiles trowel with a 3 mm tooth should be used and for larger tiles trowel with a 6 mm tooth should be used).
- The ceramic coating should be placed onto the chiseled adhesive mortar by applying pressure and plastic hammer should be used for better adherence.
- The recommended joint width is 2-4 mm for ceramic tiles up to 15x15 cm and 4-6 mm for larger tiles.
- The coating process should be carried out within 20-30 minutes. If this period has elapsed for some reason, the adhesive mortar should be scraped off from the surface.
- For good adherence, the air bubbles shall be removed with the help of a rubber hammer.
- If film has formed during the application that area should be re-chiseled and no application shall be carried out on very hot or frozen surfaces.
- This adhesive should not be used for applications constantly in contact with water.
