Time Required before ready for use : 24 hours after the application (this value is extended at low temperatures and shortened at high temperatures)
Starting Time for Grout Application : 24 hours on walls – 48 hours on floors.
Surface Preparation :
The application surface must be free of materials such as molding oils, dust, paints, dirt, detergents that prevent bonding. Surface cracks must be repaired using Parexgroup repair mortars; high absorbent surfaces must be dampened or lined using Geseras EM2 before application.
Application :
- Pour 25 kg Esermic 100 into the mixing container with 5-6 liters of water slowly and mix using a mixer preferably running at low speed until there is no coagulation. Rest the resulting material for 5 minutes and proceed to application after mixing for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Spread the adhesive mortar onto the application surface by pressing and then comb using a toothed steel trowel with a thickness suitable for the size of the material to be bonded.
- Complete the bonding procedure onto the combed surface within 20 minutes maximum. In case somehow this duration is exceeded, remove the applied adhesive mortar from the surface.
- Remove the air using a rubber hammer for good bonding properties.
- In case a film is formed on the surface during application, re-comb the respective area; do not apply on hot surfaces exposed to sun for a long time or on frozen surfaces.
- Apply the mortar both on the surface to be applied and on the back of the ceramics bigger than 20x20 cm for wall and floor applications.
- Consume the prepared mortar within 3 hours maximum..
Consumption :
Ceramic Sizes Comb Teeth Size Consumption
