Surface Preparation :
The surfaces shall be clear of substances that may prevent adherence such as surface molding grease, dust, dirt, paint, detergent, etc. All imperfections on the surface shall be repaired with Parexgroup repair plaster before the product is applied. Highly absorbent surfaces should be dampened or undercoated with Geseras EM2. Further, the heat insulation panels should be dry and clean.
Application :
- Slowly add Gesterm 410 heat insulation panel adhesive mortar to 5-6 liters of water in the mixing container slowly and mix with a slow-speed mixer until a homogenous and pellet-free mixture is obtained. Wait for 10 minutes for settling, and then mix for another 1-2 minutes then apply.
- The adhesive mortar should be applied around the heat insulation panel with a width of 4-5 cm and thickness of 1 cm with the help of a trowel. In the middle area, just rub the mortar at certain points. If the panel is made of stone wool, after this first procedure, the material should be scrapped off from the adhesive surface and undercoating application should be carried out by re-applying the material to the panel again with the help of a trowel.
- Mortar should not be applied to the sides and to lateral surfaces of the panels.
- The prepared panels shall be arranged by touching each other by placing the panel to the sub-basement profile with a little pressure to the surface and from bottom up.
- Affixing shall be carried out with the help of a jig and by tightly pressing the panel to the surface in order to form a smooth surface.
- The application shall not be carried out under direct sunlight, rain and during heavy winds.
- The prepared mortar shall be used within maximum 3 hour’s time.
Consumption : 4-5 kg/m²
