Surface Preparation    :

The application surface should be clean and dry. The decorative plaster shall be applied at least 48 hours after plaster with a netting is applied. Before applying the Geseratif 450 decorative plaster, the surface should be undercoated with Primer. For absorbent and cellular surfaces like aerated concrete, first apply one layer of Gesterm Plaster or Optimum Plaster heat insulation plaster then apply Geseratif 450 decorative plaster.

Application    :

• Slowly add Gesterm 450 decorative plaster to 6 liters of water in the mixing container slowly and mix with a slow-speed mixer until a homogenous and pellet-free mixture is obtained. Wait for 10 minutes for settling, and then mix for another 1-2 minutes then apply.
• The prepared plaster shall be applied with the help of a trowel with similar thickness. The coatings’ thickness shall be elected according to the sice of the largest granule in the material. Decorative patterns should be created with circular movements with a plastic or polyurethane trowel on the application surface. While adding these matters, wipe the surface of the trowel frequently.
• For larger surfaces, use the material without any breaks. For applications to be carried out on windows, balconies, it is recommended to work with a tape placed on the center and for blind facades, it is recommended to perform the application by opening joints and gaps.
• In order to prevent sudden loss of water and to ensure the plaster sets properly while working at temperatures above +25 ºC, water the surface at certain intervals.
• The application shall not be carried out under direct sunlight, rain and during heavy winds.
• Wait for 24 hours under normal conditions before painting.

Storage Life:

The expiry date is 8 months from the date of production provided that it is stored in sealed (unopened) original package and not subject to direct sunlight, humidity and frost and with maximum 8 times piling.

Safety Precautions/Warnings:

• Use between +5 Cº and +35 Cº.
• No foreign substance may be added to the prepared mortar.
• The expired mortar should not be re-used by mixing with water or dry mortar.
• In order to increase durability of the plaster, water the surface at certain intervals according to weather conditions.
• Do not apply directly under sunlight.
• Do not apply on surfaces subject to sunlight for prolonged periods or that are very hot or frozen.
• Do not inhale the dust of the product since the material is cement based; avoid contact with the skin and eyes.
