Surface Preparation                                           :

The surfaces onto which this product will be applied to should be dry and clean. Decorative coating should be carried out at least 48 hours after plastering with netting. Before Geser-Deco decorative mortar is applied, the surface should be undercoated with Gesercoomer Primer. Cellular or absorbent surfaces like exposed concrete shall be plastered with Gesterm Plaster or Optimum Plaster thermal insulation plaster and then should be coated with Geser-Deco decorative plaster.

Application                :

• Slowly add 25 kg’s of Geser-Deco decorative plaster to 6 liters of water in the mixing container and mix with a slow-speed mixer for approximately 3-4 minutes. Wait for 10 minutes for settling, and then mix for another 1-2 minutes then apply.
• The mortar prepared should be applied steel trowel at equal thickness. The application thickness should be adjusted according to the dimensions of the largest grain in the material. The application surface should be shaped with circular patterns by using a plastic or polyurethane trowel. The trowel’s surface should be constantly scraped off and cleaned.
• Attention should be paid to applying the mortar to larger surfaces without any breaks or time in between. Using tapes for windows and balconies is recommended and blind facades should be coated by opening joints or joint gaps.
• In order to prevent sudden water loss after application for temperatures above +25 ºC and to prevent the coating from drying too fast, the surface should be watered at certain intervals.
• Do not apply under direct sun light, rain and during strong winds.
• Wait for at least 24 hours before painting under normal ambient conditions.

Storage Life   :

The expiry date is 8 months from the date of production provided that it is stored in sealed (unopened) original package and not subject to direct sunlight, humidity and frost and with maximum 8 times piling.

Safety Precautions/Warnings:

• Use between +5 Cº and +35 Cº.
• No foreign substance may be added to the prepared mortar.
• The expired mortar should not be re-used by mixing with water or dry mortar.
• In order to extend durability of the plaster, the surface should be irrigated at regular intervals depending on the weather conditions.
• Do not apply under direct sunlight.
• Do not apply on surfaces subject to sunlight for prolonged periods or that are very hot/cold or frozen.
• Do not inhale the dust of the product since the material is cement based; avoid contact with the skin and eyes.
