Preparing the surface :
The surfaces shall be strong, clean, unpainted and dry. The surface shall be removed of formwork oils, dust, dirt, detergent etc. substances which may prevent adhesion. The unevenness of the surface shall be limited with 6 mm for the stone walls and concrete and 3 mm for the coatings. The surfaces with deeper and wider irregularities shall be evened with Parexgroup repair plasters before the application. Chamfering is required for the sharp corners and joints of the structural elements. The applications on the painted surfaces require removal of the paint using a proper method as to leave at most 10% of the paint on the surface.
Application :
- Pour 121 Optimum Wet liquid component to a clean pot and slowly add 121 Optimum Wet powder component (cement compound) while mixing with a low-speed mixer (400-500 cycles 13 mm heavy duty drill).Continue mixing till a homogenous and pellet-free mixture is reached.
- Aiming to ease the application processing, you may add a small amount of (5% of the total mixture) add cold and clean potable water.
- After the watering operation, apply 121 Optimum Wet promptly. If not to be used promptly, keep the container closed.
- In use as an adhering plaster; apply with 8 mm combed trowel to one of the entire surface of the thermal insulating board.
- The prepared boards shall be placed on the surface with a slight pressure from up to down, on the sub-basement profile at the bottom and as to contact each other.
- The adhering shall be performed using a template and by strongly pushing as to form a flat surface.
- The application shall not be performed under direct sunlight, rain and strong winds.
- The prepared plaster shall be finished maximum in 1 hours.
- In use as plaster mortar; after the entire adhesive is cured or after 24 hours from the plugging operation, the thermal insulating board shall be rasped before the assembly of the corner and window profiles. 8 mm. steel combed trowel shall be used on the surface of the plate to obtain an even thickness (1,5-2,4 mm). The corners of the windows and doors shall be reinforced with cross plaster mesh. Gesterm plaster mesh shall be superimposed at 10 cm from the joint locations and buried in the surface as close to the external face using a trowel and before the plaster is dried. Following, the surface of the plaster shall be evened.
- 121 Optimum Wet shall be applied as grading or filling material as to obtain an even and smooth surface. The maximum thickness of single layer application shall be at most 9,5 mm.
- To prevent the sudden loss of water at temperatures over +25 C° and to enable the proper setting of the plaster; the surface should be watered through certain intervals.
- The maximum adhesion bonding strength is reached within 1-4 days depending on the humidity and temperature.
- The application shall not be performed under direct sunlight, rain and strong winds.
Consumption :As adhesive:20-23m²/bucket
As plaster :16-20 m²/bucket
Storage Life: :
The expiry date is 1 year for the liquid component and 8 months for the powder component from the date of production provided stored in sealed (unopened) original package as not subject to direct sunlight, humidity and frost.
Safety Precautions/Warnings:
- Use between +5 Cº and +35 Cº.
- No foreign substance may be added in the prepared mortar.
- The absorbing surface shall be wetted or undercoated/lines with Geseras PR6 before the application.
- The expired mortar should not be re-used by mixing with water or dry mortar.
- The application shall not be performed under direct sunlight, rain and strong winds.
- The application characteristics of the product may be adversely affected if applied under direct sunlight and high temperatures.
