Surface Preparation                                  :

After the material is filled into the concrete, the required thickness for the concrete surface should be adjusted with the help of a vibrating jig or steel trowel. In order to build a solid floor, the concrete should have high compressive strength. If the application surface concrete has high consistency, it cannot absorb the adequate amount of water required for the floor hardening reaction and will not reach the required hardness. If it is too watery, then the hardener will sink into the concrete and will not give the desired results. For a perfectly durable floor, the concrete should be at least 350 dose BS20 with a minimum thickness of 10 cm.

Application                :

  • The concrete should be allowed to set until a person is able to stand on it by leaving 0,5-1,5 cm deep foot prints according to the ambient and weather conditions before the base coating procedure is commenced.
  • 2/3 of the mixture should be sprinkled onto the concrete homogenously.
  • The material dampening by absorbing the concrete water should be fed into the concrete with a disk finish and should integrate with the concrete.
  • After the first application, the remaining 1/3 of the material should be sprinkled and finishing should continue perpendicularly to the finish in the last application.
  • The last finish shall be applied until the required smoothness is achieved by adjusting the finish and blade angles. Quick setting should be prevented by slightly adding Gesercure R1 or Lankocure PR2 onto the surface and cracking control joints should be cut at necessary points and filled with the suitable material.

Consumption             : 4 - 6 kg/m² (for 2,5-3 mm suggested application thickness)

Storage Life   :

The expiry date is 8 months from the date of production provided that it is stored in sealed (unopened) original package and not subject to direct sunlight, humidity and frost and with maximum 8 times piling.

Safety Precautions / Warnings:

  • Use between +5 Cº and +35 Cº.
  • Do not apply under direct sunlight.
  • Attention should be paid to setting phases of the application floor.
  • Do not sprinkle to far away distances in order to prevent separation of the aggregates in the powder material during the application.
  • Wash the used tools with plenty of water after the application. The dried parts shall be cleaned with mechanical means.
  • After the application, Gesercure R1 or Lankocure PR2 should be applied on the surface of the floor hardener in order to prevent shrinkage cracks and dusting.
  • Do not breathe the dust of the product since the material is cement based. Avoid contact with skin and eye.
  • View Product Safety Data Sheet for more information about health and safety titles.

Hazard Warnings   :

R 36/38     : Irritating to eyes and skin.
